As a kid my Uncle Paul gave me a tour of his aircraft carrier. I was taken by the Corsair and today it remains my favorite WWII fighter. I love the folded wings and their shape when extended and how it looks in the air. The Tamiya model is so accurate and so detailed. I plan to build two: this one with extended wings and the earlier birdcage with folded. Tamiya models are the best. I’ve built virtually all the 1/6 motorcycle series including my favorite, the BMW R90S. Now I’m working my way through the 1/32 aircraft series of WWII aircraft.Eventually I’m sure I’ll get to more modern fighters but to me they just don’t have the romance of the old propeller planes, kinda like comparing a ’57 Chevy to any 2021 automobile which looks just like the next 2021 except for the Mazda Miata. Anybody know of a good model of the original 1990?

長年タミヤのキットから遠ざかってましたが、ふと目に入ったこのコルセアが気になって衝動的に買ってしまいました。
感想は、素晴らしい傑作！の一言です。
久々に製作中ずっと楽しい気分にさせてくれました。
パーツ設計、パーツ割りには感心感動させられます。
少々値は張りますが十分それ以上の価値はある傑作キットだと思います。
