COLMO MIS ESPECTATIVAS Y AUN MAS QUE ESO. NO ESPERABA EL REALISMO QUE SE LOGRO CON ESTA MAQUETA ENORME Y TAN DETALLADA

It is a very impressive kit. Massively built with quite thick plastic. And a choise of waterline or full hull. No flashing. Good fitting parts. But have encountered an annoying obstacle. The main guns don’t seem to have a locking device on the turrets to stop them coming out . Not wanting fixed turrets I have made an arrangement to keep them on board and swivel. Hope this is the only glitch I encounter in an otherwise smashing kit. And the delivery was amazing. All the way from Italy in around 24 hours. Very wall done Amazon ,did you hire one of the Red Arrows to fly it here? As I have progressed in building this model I have changed my mind about a couple of things. No flashing , I said. No but hundreds of tiny bits to cut off. One piece ,a side of a crane 2 ins long had 12 of these useless bits to cut off. Not such a good fit on some parts. Certain items would require the skill of a watchmaker to do, a skill that even I who is quite experienced find impossible to even attempt. Fortunately the ship is not too badly spoiled by these omissions. A pity but you lose a star ,Arizona.

Modelo muy completo , con un tamaño considerable y para la que tienes varios complementos aparte si quieres mejorarla con diferentes fotograbados.lo que no viene nada explicado en las instrucciones es la colocacion de las muchas barandillas metalicas que trae el modelo.agradable de montar

This is a great kit, but with some shortcomings, possibly due to Trumpeter wanting to make it all things to all modellers. For example it can be built purely as a scale model. or as a waterline model or even as a motorised model.
The worst of these is the compromise to make it a waterline model, which means most of the deck is moulded in one piece with the upper hull, leaving you the ends of the quarter deck and foredeck to add to cover various screws etc. avoiding a visible join without having to buy a wooden deck is a challenge to say the least.
Its also evident that its an early Trumpeter model, as there is no way now that one of their 1/200th scale models would include plastic ladders and companionways. To make the most of this model, which in all other respects is packed with interest and character, you’ll definitely need to supplement the model with extra photo-etched parts. If you do, you’ll be well rewarded.

1/200 trumpeter standard fare. Fantastic kit with lots of detail. Would recommend the Scaledecks.com wooden deck, and the Big ED photo etch sets you really set the kit off. Very impressive. Buyer was a pleasure to deal

Model ships are not usually my interest but when I saw this at a really good price on Amazon I thought I would see what it’s like.
This thing is huge at just under 1 metre in length and has a large number of parts, The detail looks great straight from the box. Further detail can be added from after market upgrade sets but built from the box this will build into a really nice looking ship.

Excellent kit for RC conversion due to horizontal split of the hull, both parts fits together perfectly, fastening screws and quite large piece of the deck, moulded together with upper part of the hull. Comparing to this, other Trumpeter kits, that I have – Bismarck and Iowa, is a big step back. From me, at the moment – 5 stars.
