La maqueta es magnífica. Sin embargo, en la hoja de calcas se han recortado y eliminado las marcas de derribo por ser esvásticas.
El modelo que compré figuraba como importado.

The product itself is brilliant. Beautiful Tamiya quality as always. The one star review goes for Amazon for the overdone censorship. Amazon, this is getting out of hand… seriously why was this nose art censored in this kit’s manual? This has happened numerous times now that a kit arrived with some kind of censorship… tone it down Amazon because this is ridiculous….

Las calcas han sido censuradas y ahunque no es un avion aleman, todas las cruces svasticas de victorias han sido
cortadas y eliminadas, esto falsea la historia y es inadmisible. No compreis esta maqueta ya que te obliga a comprar
las calcas por separado y eso no compensa.
En todo caso oconsejo comprarla en tienda y comprovar que todo esta bien, en ese caso es una macnifica maqueta.

La maqueta aunque tiene 20 años es excelente eso si viene de Alemania y le han recortado varias calcas la 56 en adelante que son las marcas de enemigos alemanes abatidos…

Perfect model kit, one you can revisit for different markings over and over again.
Also even without after market parts it has everything included for a fantastic P-51
And there is even a pilot figure included, something very unusual in other kits!

A typical Tamiya kit, with excellent fit and finish of all parts and plenty of detail, plus a gloriously clear, thin canopy. This model was loads of fun to build and has turned out to be one of the highlights of my «squadron».
There are numerous aftermarket upgrade sets available for this kit but (as another reviewer mentioned) they aren’t really needed. With care and attention, this will build into a cracking model straight from the box. If you were tempted to add a little something, the Eduard Zoom cockpit set really does add another dimension to the «office» but other than that, I really do think that aftermarket sets will be wasted on this little beauty.
A pleasure to build and paint and highly recommended, but not for beginners.
